There is no singular experience of sexual violence and trauma; as such, there is no single experience of vicarious trauma or healing from it. We will close our conference with this panel on a few representations of treating vicarious trauma through alternate modalities, including play therapy, art therapy, and somatics and BDSM trauma therapy. As caring professionals, being as unique and creative with our own healing as we are with the healing we provide and recommend to our clients is vital to the sustainability of our work and the future we hope to build in which sexual violence no longer flourishes.
